From May 21 to 23, 2025, the city of Kurchatov hosted the annual R&D Conference-Competition for Young Scientists and Specialists of the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event aims to support scientific initiatives, foster research potential, and encourage innovation among young professionals. During the conference, participants presented reports on current research topics, including nuclear physics, radiation safety, ecology, geophysics, as well as new technologies and engineering solutions.
