Ortayu seismic station (OTUK)

Ortayu seismic station (OTUK) was installed in February 2010 at the edge of Ortayu settlement, Shet region of Karaganda area under CAREMON Project (https://kndc.kz/kndc/docs/publication/2012_3.pdf). The instrument facility is a bunker of 3 m depth equipped with seismic sensors and recording equipment. It was built on a gentle ledge of bedrock outcrops consisting of dense potassium-feldspathic granites of the Kyzylrai complex  αγP2 – T1kz (Figure 1).
